Inspiring Shanghai follows two publications, one on Tianjin and the other on Shanxi province. Inspiring Shanghai introduces the city of Shanghai. Inspiring Shanghai is presented in three languages, Chinese, English, French, and the volume is divided into five parts. We start by looking at the city through the eyes of important Chinese personalities whose expertise is recognized. The second segment is built around the voices of officials from different countries. It is followed by a chapter that focuses on the economy. Then we enter the world of culture in the broadest sense of the term. Finally, the book closes by giving a voice to sinologists and educators.
